"I Love My Job! I have the best team in Yucaipa, one thing you will notice when you come see us is we are always enjoying ourselves. I was born missing two of my front teeth so when people tell me they aren't in love with their smile....I understand. I had trauma to my face multiple times as a kid so all of my upper front teeth have been through root canal therapy. I went through two phases of orthodontic treatment as a young man and went through a third phase after dental school so I could have dental implants placed and remove the bridges that I wore in the front for years. I have spent countless hours in the dental chair in my life so I feel qualified to be empathetic to my patients who are going through extensive treatment. We are willing to do whatever it takes to make our patients comfortable in the chair, whether it is watching Netflix, listening to music, anti-anxiety medication, Nitrous Gas, etc.

Dr. Steven Markham grew up in Huntington Beach where he spent time surfing and playing volleyball but also visited Idaho for a month every summer to visit the potato farming side of the family.
After a year of college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah he spent two years serving as a missionary for his church in Santiago, Chile where he learned to love the scriptures and fell in love with preaching the Gospel in Spanish.
In 2000 he completed a bachelor's degree in Biology after three years in Provo and a year at Brigham Young University in Hawaii. In 2004 he completed the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the prestigious University of Southern California where Grandpa Don Markham was an alumnus and in the 1970's was an instructor. He is a 3rd generation dentist and loves practicing all aspects of dentistry. Dr. Markham trained extensively with Dr. Brock Rondeau of London, Ontario Canada for Orthodontic/TMD/Sleep Apnea treatment. He has also trained with several Surgeons for Dental Implant Placement including Dr. Ken Hebel, Dr. Arun Garg, and Dr. Neal Patel.
He is very committed to service in his church and community. He teaches Sunday School at Church and recently sponsored the Yucaipa High School Varsity Football Team.
Dr. Markham and his beautiful wife Carrie have a fifteen year old daughter who subs as an assistant in the office sometimes and a twelve year old son. They love living in Yucaipa with Sara, Ben, and their dog.
